Since the 1950s, around 8.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced worldwide.

The plastic consumption has become a big issue because it’s too slow to degrade in nature so it creates a lot of pollution...

Plastic is one of the most used material in the world because they are inexpensive and durable however the chemical structure of most of plastics renders them resistant to many natural processes of degradation and a result they are slow to degrade which lead to prominence of plastics pollution on the environment.

We wanted to make an art installation to show people how plastic pollution impact on the ocean life.

We also search what could be done with empty plastic bottles

We made the machine to make rope out of the bottle but our first few tries were not really successful. because the rope kept breaking

Our plastic roof will be made 100% by plastic bottles, which means it will be entirely recycled after the installation. In fact, every single piece of the roof will be linked by plastic link (cut from the plastic rope).

It's really a good idea to make plastic rope because it's really useful. After several tries, we made a really long rope by one bottle and it's extremely firm and light. The machine is also easy to make, we can find every piece needed at home.

As it says on our prototype, we want to make a curtain by using the label of plastic bottle which will by also recyclable.

We're thinking about the inside decoration, it's really important because our art installation should represent a part of the ocean. So we think about to make some marine lives also by plastic bottles.

We have collected over 100 labels from our home since we begin this project. It's also one of our goals to show people how many bottles they use.

Here are some marine lives that we made by plastic bottles or part of it. It's not really difficult, in fact, it's really a nice way to use the bottles. You can make it with your children and it will be a really lovely time to the family, and at the same time, you can recycle your bottles at home.
