TEAM WOTTER - 017WATER
Rural communities suffer to have access to clean drinking water and are hereby compelled to drink from rivers or streams of which we all know that the water is dirty, unsafe and unhealthy to drink and this becomes part of our major concern and we try to address as a problem in places like India which is considered as the world center for water crisis according to UN citizen science data.
We are Team Wotter, a combination of two bright minds trying to make a difference with our little big idea, to make the world a little better. we look forward to providing a long lasting access to clean drinking water for communities in India and Nigeria similarly our idea can be used to address other country and communities too. I am Solomon Kulasaso Musa from Nigeria and my partner Navya Sharma from India we work together on this project thank you.
•Total lack of access to clean drinking water
•Excess availability of dirty water (Flooding/contamination).
•Draught / Natural disaster
•Internal displacement due to conflict.
In India 50million people are affected by total / lack of access to clean drinking water, similarly to Maiduguri in the Northern parts of Nigeria data shows that approximately 25million people lack access to clean drinking water.
Today over 785 million people globally – 1 in 9 – lack access to safe drinking-water.
Drinking of unhealthy and dirty or contaminated water leads to ill and poor health conditions or health complications, example of most common diseases caused by dirty and unhygienic water are:
Spread of disease like
•Guinea worm infection
At first we were told to merge up and form teams, it was a bit of a challenge having someone that our Idea can go a long way together, until I match up with Navya Sharma from India, it has also been a challenge on working with someone from a totally different background, country, continent and cultural settings, but we are happy to say that it was an opportunity meeting with each other and working together in fact its really a rare chance but we are doing this perfectly now and it works like magic thanks to #O17WATER TEAMS Team wotter is greateful
